Biography

Racing

I started racing at the age of 14 in 100cc Britain karting, moving into the highly competitive Intercontinental A championship in Europe.

Progressing into car racing with Formula Ford, winning the rookie championship and claiming 3rd overall in my first season, taking the class pole position and race victory in every round. Continuing successfully in various classes of Formula Ford for several seasons, taking numerous pole positions and race victories. Subsequently I have raced in various formulae including Formula 3, FF2000, FRenault and Spanish GT.

I have also been involved in testing and car setup/development for racing teams running Ferrari 430 Challenge & Porsche Carrera Cup cars.

In 2011, I took on a new challenge working as team manager for a front running Britcar team, dealing with all aspects of running the car including race strategy, fuel calculations and pit to car communications.

Instructing and Coaching

Instructing started in 1994, where I started working with the highly acclaimed Silverstone Racing School. In subsequent years I have worked with most of the racing schools and trackday organisers in the UK & Europe.

Currently I am Grade A ARDS Registered and ATDO recognised, am chief instructor for Goldtrack trackdays, team driver coach for Williams motorsport in the official Caterham championship and coaching junior, novice and experienced drivers in various other championships including:
